Big Island Family Vacation Photography - Waikoloa, Hawaii

Want to know a secret? Okay, here it goes… in Hawaii - there is no such thing as a private beach. Yes, really! All beaches and shorelines are public by law. That means you can expect for there to be people around during your session. But you probably have noticed that you don’t see any random beachgoers in my images. That’s because believe it or not, I photoshop every single person out of the background of your photos. YUP even if its a busy beach on a Sunday night, I will edit all of those people out. No exceptions.

BUT that's as far as I go with photoshop. I do not airbrush or 'nip and tuck' as I believe in telling the real story. I believe the beauty of photography is in capturing authenticity, not perfectionism.

I mean, this sweet family is absolutely perfect as is already, don’t you think? Just a quick touch to remove a few distractions so your story is the focus and tada! Magic! I believe the real story is ALWAYS more beautiful. Do you agree?
